Headlands Center for the Arts is currently seeking applications for Artists in Residence and Affiliate Artists for its 2018-19 program. Headlands Center for the Arts is a multidisciplinary, international arts center located in the Marin Headlands, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Headland's Artists Programs provide opportunities for research, experimentation, professional development, and peer-to-peer exchange for artists working across disciplines in critical times in their careers.
Artist in Residence
Fully sponsored residencies for local, national, and international artists in all disciplines.
Application period: 2 April 2 – 8 June 2018.
Program: March–November 2019.
The Artist in Residence (AIR) program awards fully sponsored residencies to approximately 50 local, national, and international artists each year. Artists in Residence are at all stages in their careers and work in a diverse array of fields and media, including: painting, photography, sculpture, installation, performance, dance, sound and music, film, video, new media, writing, architecture, interdisciplinary arts, and social practice. Residencies of four to ten weeks include private studio space, chef-prepared meals, comfortable housing, and travel and living stipends.
